hi, im a little new here so here it goes how do i get debian testing repos without crashing the system? i need he latest version of krita installed. and how do i switch pcmanfm instead of the default file manager?
Welcome.
1. Testing is testing so there are no guarantees that it will not end up ‘crashing the system’.
Simply edit antix.list and debian.list files in /etc/apt/sources.list.d
2. Use Preferred Apps in the control centre
Added: You might be better off installing latest krita packaged by MX.
It should work on antiX-19 as well without any need to use the testing repos.

As long as you are connected to the internet it hardly matters which way you choose to do so.
2. Use Preferred Apps in the control centre
You click on Control System under the menu, and then you click on preferred apps. Then you click on the apps you require which would appear to be pcmanfm and krita.
