      Hello people!!

GDebi gui force closes when I press “install” button. It works fine with root privileges under terminal.

      Pc has antiX-19.4_386-full installed

I think the answer lies here but I’m not sure what to do.

Is there something I should do to fix it?

Gdebi has been giving problems in the recent years (I stopped using it myself). It has been abandoned by most distros, as the new “Software Centers” have replaced the functionality of both synaptic and gdebi.

You could instead install the package using the terminal
        sudo apt install
leave an empty space after “install” and drag and drop the .deb file to the terminal (which will paste the path to the .deb package you want to install). Run the program and it should work just as well as installing anything using apt.
