Sorry if these questions could seem unrelated but maybe it’s not the case to open two topics at the same time 🙂
1) I have just installed runit-Antix 21 and I have installed consolekit. The package manager removed elogind but I want to be sure that no elogind remnants are still there. For example, installing libpam-ck-connector removed libpam-elogind that wasn’t removed by the package manager. How can I perform a full cleanup?;
2) I have chosen the modern theme for IceWM, my screen has a 1920×1080 resolution. However, icons are really tiny unless I chose Huge 4K size, but the bottom right icons (clock, battery, redshift, network etc) are unaffected and stay tiny. What am I missing? Thanks.- This topic was modified 1 year, 5 months ago by wastelander.

::You could try commands like this to see packages that are left on the system.
dpkg-query -l *elogind* dpkg-query -l | grep logindTo remove no longer needed dependencies:
apt-get autoremove --purge- This reply was modified 1 year, 5 months ago by Dzhigit. Reason: change -L to -l

::@BobC thanks a lot, very useful!
@Dzhigit, thanks, the query showed that libelogind0 is still there but I can’t remove it because a huge part of the system depends on it..:(November 8, 2021 at 9:18 pm #70585Forum Admin

::You won’t be able to remove libelogind0

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

::However, I think I can make antiX so even libelogind0 is not needed.

How is that possible? Lots of crucial packages even in the antiX net system are hard dependent on it, and the desktop packages even more so. It would be very cool though.

I have rebuilt some packages.
Testers needed to see if it all works. (Basically add dev to the antiX repos list).
I’ll post a howto later, I’m busy at the moment.Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
