      Hello,

How do I update to GIMP 2.10 from GIMP 2.8 on antiX?

      Please help, thanks 🙂

If you really need it, you could add the MX test repo (temporarily) and install it from there. But, I have no idea how well it will work or if it will break anything.

        deb http://mxrepo.com/mx/testrepo/ stretch test

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

it is already the standard version in Debian testing and therefore in antiX testing as well.
It seems to work flawlessly and it breaks nothing 🙂

Yes, I got it now. It’s working good but, something strange happened during the install. It removed/uninstalled mypaint and mypaint-data. When gimp 2.10 opened, it was missing the mypaint brush library stuff.

I reinstalled mypaint and it removes/uninstalls gimp 2.10 so, I uninstalled mypaint, reinstalled gimp 2.10, and installed mypaint-brushes. Now gimp 2.10 opens up and it has everything it’s supposed to have. That was a little quirky. I suppose I could in theory keep mypaint so long as I didn’t autoremove or something but it’s not important! It also removed bits and pieces from my digimend-kernel-drivers but I rebuilt it from git and everything is fine now. No other strange bugs have come up at all. Pressure sensitivity is intact.
