      Pretty sure I answered my own question, but:

      What did I do earlier which caused Google Chrome to appear in my apps? …Full-bore ‘Sid’ install? I didn’t like my ms-dos partitioning so’s I re-did it all, but now I can’t find it,…Google-Chrome that is

        Its in “Package Installer” under “Browsers” on the 64 bit system only.

        You won’t find it in the repos. That’s the only spot where you will find it.
