ICEWM BUGFIX RELEASES ON THE WAY
Is anyone else having graphics glitches after recent update. Desktop is Icewm.
Since an update done yesterday I now have workspace numbers showing Ws 1 Ws 2
etc so some desktop settings in Icewm must have had changes. Now a number of applications are moving up left on every refocus until partly off screen,
really annoying in palemoon, this is not happening in flux. And not just to me.
My startup winoptions settings are now being overridden.EDIT: Trimmed for relevance

::Check /var/log/apt/history.log and paste the changes for last 2 days with code tags (Paste the text in the textbox, select the text you consider code, and click the CODE button above the textbox. It will add a symbol before and after the selected text).
This will be the only way to find out the possible culprit. We cannot know if it is an antiX update or from a different program, so this is the best way.

::Sorry, moddit. I didn’t realize icewm had been updated. It is as you say, and was confirmed by anticapitalista. What I don’t know is if replacing the .icewm folder will help fix the changes from the update.
I hope you can restore it to how it was before.antiX Live system enthusiast.

That is why I said I didn’t think it would help replacing the .icewm configuration folder for moddit’s backup.

::I was replying to this bit from moddlt.
On any changes to desktop settings made during updates a backup of the original file would be an
option I request. Now I must copy from a live backup to my installation and hope other users
read my sms and not many upgraded.Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

::Sorry anticapitalista, I was really irritated by the appearance change in task bar
and my autostarts not working as expected.Anyway I was not alone with the weird window bug,
gijsbers commented 21 hours ago
Commit e3dc92c fixes the slowly growing windows.
You can test this from git repository https://github.com/bbidulock/icewm/.Reading in release notes it looks like there has been a change to allow Icewm to remember window sizes,
maybe that conflicts with autostart. Will look in to that when Icewm fixed.- This reply was modified 2 years, 5 months ago by ModdIt.
