      Hi team!

For personal reasons I recently downgraded to a ~USD$160 Dell Inspiron 3000. I was on the lookout for a lightweight Debian based distro after Windoze gave me the cyber-security heebie-jeebies and always wanted to try out window managers but was never game enough too as I am a bit of a noob. I stumbled across antiX and I am super impressed! There are a few kinks I need to work out which is why I am here on the forums but I am thoroughly enjoying the experience so far nonetheless.

Thanks for all your hard work and I look forward to getting involved in the community.

Welcome to antiX! What is in that Dell Inspiron 3000? It looks like it may be an Intel i5 class machine?

I didn’t have access to that level of hardware for years. I started with an old Pentium-4 based Dell that was a hand-me-down. I put antiX and MX-14 on it and I haven’t looked back. Now I put antiX on everything. I now have an Intel 7th Gen i5 with 4GB RAM as my main laptop. I have antiX next to MX and Win10.
