Forum for users of antiX Linux. Mean and Lean and Proudly anti-fascist.
This is my back up machine – my main machine is running MX19. There have been a few issues with grub updates posted on that forum recently about problems after grub updates.
I keep this machine updated on an almost daily basis but the latest series of updates have suggested the following upgrades:-
grub-common (2.04-20 => 2.06-3~deb11u1)
grub-efi-amd64-bin (2.04-20 => 2.06-3~deb11u1)
grub-efi-ia32-bin (2.04-20 => 2.06-3~deb11u1)
grub-pc (2.04-20 => 2.06-3~deb11u1)
grub-pc-bin (2.04-20 => 2.06-3~deb11u1)
grub2-common (2.04-20 => 2.06-3~deb11u1)
My question simply is – is it ok to go ahead and install these upgrades?
Thanks

It looks like those updates are from Debian. You could investigate them before installing if you wanted to.
Hi Ironfighter, grub comes from upstream, I think that is standard,
anyway
The updated grub versions working fine here.
You can see changes easily in synaptic, most important parts security updates.
