      Hi All,
My name is Damon Gang and I have been using different linux distro’s for about 21 years (Debian was probably my first.). My desktop currently has Manjaro (which I may switch to something like MX) and I am planning to put Antix on my 2, several years old, Dell (Inspiron) laptops (Intel Core i3 and AMD A6 7th Gen) … which I think Antix should be a good fit for (not much RAM). I have tried to use TAILS with persistence by the way … and never got the persistence to work right … so I also hope to have more success with Antix persistence 🙂
      Peace

Hallo and welcome to the forum. antiX will run fine on I3 and A6 both way more powerful
than many devices we use daily.

I think Antix should be a good fit for (not much RAM)

Welcome – don’t worry about RAM – antiX runs very well even in a single core netbook with 1 gig of shared RAM…
The persistence works great in antiX – you can checkout some help on how to set it up, I think Dolphin Oracle has some Youtube video detailing the process…
Also, if you think antiX default User Interface looks a bit too much “old school”, you can install ft10-transformation package (and activate FT10’s toolbar on the antiX Preferences menu).
antiX is Debian, the way it should be by default – light, with less dependencies, without bloat, and with some applications more up to date (like LibreOffice, Gimp and Wine)

            P.
