Hello antiX folks!
I’m Glen and I develop and maintain AV Linux which is now based on MX and built with the wonderful antiX ISO build tools!
I’m currently working on a 32bit LXDE Respin and I discovered and fell in love with the wonderful zzzFM File Manager (yes I must have been living under a rock to have missed it this long). I was wondering about a few things with it’s built in Custom Action scripting..
1) Is there a collection of zzzFM scripts or ideas here anywhere for common Custom Actions?
2) Do the scripts merely have to be placed in ~/.config/zzzfm/scripts/ or should they be in subfolders within the scripts directory?
Any guidance is appreciated and once I get my head wrapped around how exactly zzzFM scripting works I will be happy to share any multimedia-centered scripts I come up with..
Thanks!

::Hi and welcome to antiX!
zzzfm does not exactly have “Custom Actions”, but it’s so costumizable that you can add almost anything you want to the contextual menu, the bookmarks or the toolbar. Try this: right click any file inside zzzfm and over above any option that does not have a submenu, and right click that spot – you’ll see another menu, select “+” there – and you’ll be able to add any program or script – once you know that and you know your way around scripts, there’s no end to what you can do with zzzfm
As far as I know, I’m the only person that is developing customizations for zzzfm – I managed to add the default bookmarks, a Trash Can, Recent Files, and also integration with the Cloud (via external scripts) and I’m currently trying to add a “Discover Network shares” option. I trust that with all those options the single thing that’s missing from zzzfm (by design, to save resources, is video thumbnails)
Please take a look at my FT10 thread, here in the forum, for more on that – you can download the latest beta of FT10 (that includes the zzzfm customizations I mentioned) and checkout the scripts I add to zzzfm…P.
