      Hello everyone,
I’m french, taking of advantage of the “stay at Home” to switch an nice small EEE PC to AntiX : I found it in a dump, taking it in order to have some box pieces from my current one (the one I’m currently using to write – Xubuntu). But Since it works, I preferred to test it deeply with a functional OS!
Both are ASUS Eee PC 1015 BX, but the second one have a fixed RAM… limited to 1GB!
So, I thought that AntiX would be a great OS for it!
I was already use AntiX, the 15 one, first to allow my uncle to access to the net through his smartphone, with a very old laptop… and successfully!
Then, I used on this Netbook, still installed, with two other GNU/Linux distributions (Voyager/Xubuntu, Manjaro FluxBox), and I wanted to use it in Linux Workshop with the kids… and now I think it would be a great occasion to test the 19 one!

      I had some ‘issues’ :
      – first the LED light is switched off entering X session… ‘solved’ by close/open the screen! There is certainly an option to set..
      – second, I figured the installation would be automatic in UEFI firmware… Thanks to this tutorial AntiX 16 – UEFI install I solved it. It would be great if your tutorial videos would be on peertube, wouldn’t it?

      Vincent.

Howdy and Welcome. Sold my eeepc’s but mine were 900 and 701SD models.
