      Hello Antix fans!

Im very happy to be here, to meet you, and that amazing distro.

I have never heard about antix, until last sunday. Put it in a virtual box and say, hey, this can work for me!!! wow.

Unfortunately i didnt do any copy to go with me, and as a destiny change, my laptop just die, i mean, my grub leave me alone, at 8:00 this monday.

Jesus.. Im testing for the firt time work only with linux, no dual boot, and having my boss over me, grub f* me. ok, I remember antix, download it with my note8, put in a stick and “voilá”, save the day.

Im Brazilian, living in Curitiba, PR!

I Wish to help with translation, since my english sucks, I can read, and translate correctly.

          Hello Antix fans!

hi there. I’m from Portugal myself. antiX is almost 100% translated, both in PT-PT and PT-BR.
Also, if you didn’t aldready and want to be on the cutting edge, try antiX19 beta2- it looks much, much better and fucntional!
(Oi! Eu sou de Portugal. O antiX está quase 100% traduzido, tanto em PT-PT como PT-BR.
Se ainda não o fez, tente o antiz19 beta2- está muito, muito mais bonito e funcional)

          P.

Howdy and Welcome. Sure would be nice to see a terminal readout of

            inxi -v8 -z`

readout in your next reply so members can look at your gear. I put the -z option in my above command to filter out your ip info. Since I only wish hardware and repo info.

Welcome… I am also windows-free. It turns out that I am also Portuguese language skills free. My human language skills are limited to English (native), German (nearly fluent), French (some) and a little bit of Polish & Russian & tiny bits of Hebrew & Arabic. 😉

Hallo and welcome to Antixia, the International community of AntiX.

Looking at your readout I see following lines.
                    Active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/graphics-drivers-ubuntu-ppa-eoan.list
                    1: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/graphics-drivers/ppa/ubuntu eoan main

Please be aware that bringing in an Ubuntu PPA is not a good idea if you want a stable system. You may be lucky but likely not..
If you need some software but are unable to find it as a non PPA debian package please do not be afraid to ask for assistance.

This forum is very friendly and helpful in contrast to some others I have experienced. The developers are reading and surely among the most competent on planet earth. AntiX is I think the best distro I have ever encountered.

I’m happy to welcome you and any other new users to the antiX forum and the use of the software. It’s great to have people all over the world enjoy both our commonality and our differences and put together something that is helpful and useful to people in a wide variety of locations and cultures. Welcome aboard!
