Hello to the people here. I discovered this while randomly watching youtube and wanted to revive an old core 2 duo Fujitsu A-series laptop with only 2 GB of RAM. I hope I came to right place! =)

*currently trying to figure out if I should use the 64 bit or 32 bit version. Current OS is Windows 07 Ultimate, but my processor on Intel’s info page says it’s a 64-bit processor*

Welcome. Yes you’re in the right place.

In almost every case, if the hardware supports the 64 bit install, you’re better off going that way.

64 bit kernels have more up-to-date security fixes (eg, KPTI to fix meltdown has still not been implemented in 32 bit kernels), and some software is only released for 64 bit architecture these days (eg, google chrome).

Howdy and Welcome. Ditto on what rob said.

I’m “late”, but I’d like to welcome you anyway, Onii_chan.
