Can you help me to buy RAM memory for my DELL Latitude E6430?
It has 4Gb of RAM (on 2 cards of 2Gb) I would like to put 8Gb but I’m not sure if it’s compatible with my laptop, I’m pretty clumsy for these things.

      Is this one ok?

      https://www.amazon.es/Crucial-CT8G4SFS824A-Memoria-PC4-19200-260-Pin/dp/B08C4Z69LN/ref=sr_1_6?__mk_es_ES=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=2AJTJN98C5J0O&keywords=memoria%2Bram%2Bdell%2Blatitude%2Be6430&qid=1658156622&sprefix=memoria%2Bram%2Bdell%2Blatitude%2Be6430%2Caps%2C111&sr=8-6&th=1

I want the upgrade mainly for Photography, if I use ART+GIMP 4Gb is not enough.

      Thank you.

I was the same as you, but then I started doing this:

Do a duckduckgo search for your exact computer model + “ram upgrade”.

        “DELL Latitude E6430 ram upgrade”

Check the web search results that are exact matches, from the top companies – like crucial.com, memorystock.com, and the manufacturer (dell.com).

Write down the exact specs of your ram. (So that way you don’t buy something incompatible that Amazon wants to sell you.) Then price-compare amongst the sellers.

The “name-brand” companies guarantee the ram will work, so they will identify the correct parts.

Thanks for the advice, Christophe and Brian, but I still have a lot of doubts.

On the crucial page this one is listed as compatible:
            https://www.crucial.es/compatible-upgrade-for/dell/latitude-e6430

but it looks like it is 1.35v and should be 1.5v.
            according to Dell:
            https://www.dell.com/community/Latitude/Upgrade-Ram-for-Dell-Latitude-E6430/td-p/7193234

The Dell Latitude E6430 has several versions: i6, i7,… I imagine that also influences. Mine is i7.

I attach a picture of the original memory.

According to a post on Dell’s site, the 1.35v are better.

The way I read it, they are both saying 1.35v are recommended & guaranteed to work. Not 1.5v. 🙂

Then it looks like there will be no problem with this one. I’m going to order it.

Plus it’s cheaper on Amazon than at Crucial itself.

sorry, I have one more question.
Can I install 8Gb+2Gb ram or should they be paired?
