::I know you were looking for this earlier – on default config, going full screen should be just Mod+F.
Also, master volume should be Mod+shift+up|down.Thank you Christophe. I will test on my machines. Trying also to figure out this tag numbering mystery…

::@andyprough – Those are some BIG tag numbers you got there… 😮
That’s just a zoomed in picture into the upper left corner of the screen. Here’s the full screen. The tag numbers aren’t tooooo big. Size 16 font is typically the way I roll these days. 😀

::No, I have exactly 6 tags, and I don’t have any two blank spaces, and using the Super-Shift-[tag number] combination takes me to that tag, not to a tag that’s two lower in the list.
Thanks again. I identified circumstances when it happens:
– If I switch to Herbstluftwm (which I was doing all along) via ‘Other Desktops’ I am getting this ‘enhanced’ Herbstluftwm desktop, which has two blank tags at the beginning, followed by 6 numbered tags. To go to those numbered tags is Winkey + (n+2), where n is the tag number.
– When I log off from IceWM and navigate to Herbstluftwm on login screen I get the ‘normal’ Herbstluftwm desktop, with 6 numbered tags. The issue with re-logon to Herbstluftwm after logoff I think I narrowed down as follows:
– If I log off from Herbstluftwm to login screen and immediately log back in – no problem. Goes back to Herstluftwm desktop
– If after loging off from Herbstluftwm I navigate to Herbstluftwm via F1 key I am getting ‘Failed to execute login command’. However logging on to IceWM is no issue…This Herbstluftwm becomes very interesting…

::Don’t know why I kept missing this – the number of tags is controlled in ~/.config/herbstluftwm/autostart, under the “# tags” section, around lines 45-50. antiX has it defaulted to 6 tags like so:
# tags TAG_NAMES=( {1..6} ) TAG_KEYS=( {1..6} 0 )So I just changed it to 9 tags:
# tags TAG_NAMES=( {1..9} ) TAG_KEYS=( {1..9} 0 )And used Super-Shift-r to reload the window manager. And now I’ve got my 9 tags. I must have looked past that section 5 times and just wasn’t seeing it for some reason.

Question: Where is that place in your wallpaper? Bavaria some place?Apparently it’s from Lake Bled, Slovenia. I got it from unsplash – they have tons of really nice looking and freely licensed wallpapers there: https://unsplash.com/photos/XGDBdSQ70O0

::That’s one reason why I stopped using GUI login managers. I’m also using tbsm with i3-gaps & Herbstluftwm on 19.4 core runit.
I am being on the cautious side so I have a question or two before I start testing with tbsm to satisfy my curiosity rather than jumping to this solution for day-to-day operation:
– Am I losing anything in terms of initialization (assuming some initialization performed by SLIM) if I bypass SLIM gui login, that would impact WM session?
– I saw from DWM thread your example menu presented by tbsm of WMs eligible for selection. I understand your explanation that the fact tbsm has not been maintained for almost three years is not an issue since it is a very simple program and there is no need to maintain it.
So my question: Does tbsn remember the last selection of WM and somehow highlight it so pressing Enter would start that WM selection?
Thanks and Regards…There is no impact on the windows managers using tbsm and as far as remembering the last logon like slim does, there is really no need with tbsm it lists windows managers in a Column with a number for each one.
The only different between the two is you login from tty first then tbsm opens and you select your desktop by entering a number.
Just as you see on this page. tbsm homepageAugust 17, 2021 at 6:05 am #65150Memberex_Koo

::on herbstluftwm I like it mostly the way it is and have changed a few keybindings. I also switched to
roxterm as default terminal.using on bullseye-runit-b1 install. it fails from slim and puts back at the slim login,
but if I log back in without hitting the F1 key it opens and says — not a supported
wm screen that I can cancel.August 19, 2021 at 7:30 pm #65215Forum Admin

::@linuxdaddy – thanks for the feedback.
This will be fixed for next beta.Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

::you are welcome @anticapitalista. going to check later if it does that on the live iso with slim.

::Next antiX-21 beta will not include slim nor SpaceFM. They will be replaced by slimski and zzzFM.
It is very likely that beta1 will not upgrade to beta2 and final without issues.Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

It is very likely that beta1 will not upgrade to beta2 and final without issues.I am happy to see the decision to use an updated login manager and file manager; both slimski and zzzFM have been efficient and have functioned well for me during testing. I’m patient regarding issues because we’ve always produced excellent releases and updates and I anticipate more of the same once any issues discovered are resolved. I’ll try to run a battery of tests on a couple of platforms when our next round of test images appear.

::zzzfm-gtk3 seems to work well in hlwm with roxterm.
I have zzzfm as $Mod-Shift-z and firefox-esr as $Mod-Shift-f in
autostart at the moment. Have tabs at 4 for now. -
