[solved] Herbstluftwm missed in antix 21?

Dear,
yesterday a friend of mine downloaded and installed antix 21, 64 bit, kernel 5.xxxxx.
Tonight we were talking about what he searches in a distro and he explained to me that he prefers to use a tiling wm.
I told him where to go, looking from what is installed on my pc, and strangely enough he couldn’t find the above mentioned wm, while I can see it on my installed antix with the very same characteristics.
I tried to suggest him to “sudo apt install herbstluftwm”, or to install it from the “installatore sw” in the tray: impossible because it is missing.
So what’s up? I’m short of ideas.
He is lurking on this tread, and will probably intervene if you want to ask him some in-depth questions.

Hersbtluftwm is always there, unless he removed it. (On base & full antiX versions, I mean. It’s not on core or net, but no window managers are on those, anyway.)

Try logging out, then from the login screen, press F1 slowly, until “herbstluftwm” shows up as the session to be used.
Then login.

Thereafter, it will be the default, until changed again.

@madibi – as far as I know herbstluftwm is not only included in antiX base/full, but it is now even more customized to work in antiX. However, to avoid user confusion, that could select it from the available desktops, just to try it, and then got stuck in it, because it has no menu where the user can switch back to other Desktops, it now can only be selected via the F1 key at the login screen (just like christophe said). You also have a quick and very basic How to work with herbstluftwm in antiX’s Wiki….

SOLVED
Many thanks to everybody.
I was a bit confused because in my Antix 21 install the herbstluftwm is still in the menu of available desktops, while in my friend’s one, it isn’t.
In reality I already knew the solution to logout and then to choose the desktop I want through the F1 key. Unfortunately that night I forgot it!! (uh, age makes me feel its weight 🙂 ).
In any case the forum is always very gentle and supportive, and my friend was conquered both by the distro and by the forum.
