Hi folks, I’ve been using Linux as a daily driver for about 12-15 years now & absolutely love antiX!!! I’ve distro-hopped for years & tried a lot of different distros throughout the years (including antiX around the 17-18 editions) & ended up coming back. My last setup was an Arch/i3 setup that was cool, but kind of tedious to maintain. I did learn how to customize via .config files & such on that setup, which made customizing antiX/IceWM pretty easy due to the awesome control centre.

Thanks to everyone for the hard work making a lightweight distro that is actually usable!!!

I agree 100%. antiX is the most usable Linux distro on my old machines. And even on the newer stuff!

                    Glad you are back.
This has always been my distribution on whatever hardware I use.

I finally found a distribution based on Arch that’s solid. Have you heard of Endeavour OS?

Recently I have added it to my collection too.

I used Endeavor for a bit & copied a bunch of my initial Arch i3 config from it. I watched a lengthy customization video on antiX & decided to come back. I believe it was a really great decision!!!

I’m a multi distribution person but antiX is definitely a staple on all computers capable of running Linux.

I have it on the two regular systems I have and I also generally have it on my old relic systems too unless I am testing something else temporarily.

I’m testing for antiX 23 on my Dell Inspiron 5558 currently and using the stable release on my HP-14, but as 23 matures I will put 23 on each of my systems to make sure they work with all of the hardware. antiX is the main distribution for me even though I use a lot of different distributions.

Strange as it may seem, in my testing/experience antiX 23 is mature enough for me to be used as my main system at this point. Everything I use, including sound and printing works for me. I have been running antiX 23 exclusively for the past two weeks and have yet to discover anything material not working…

I believe you. When I was testing the other day, even though not everything in the Package Installer was perfect, my daily use cases these days are pretty simple and yes, when I am testing I can do the same.
