is there a way to install Home assistant in native mode?

::Sorry, what is “Home assistant”(can you please post the homepage for that software?) and what do you mean by “native mode”? Are you talking about a MS Windows app that you want to run under antiX?

::Ummmm, its an Operating System, not an application.
Sure, you might be able to install it, but when you boot it, it will be your operating system, not antiX. They can both be loaded, but to run natively, not run at the same time.

::OK, I will try to install it as Oprationg system.
I thought we could install home assistant as an application.
Thank you for helping meNovember 25, 2022 at 7:28 pm #94092ModeratorBobC
::If it was me, I would install it first on an old PC with spare disk space to make sure it wouldn’t cause trouble.

::What do you mean by native mode? Do you mean on the hardware instead of a virtual machine?
It looks like the system is setup to take over your entire disk drive, or storage medium. You may have to use something custom to get it to share the computer with antiX. Perhaps there is a forum for that operating system that can of more help.

Yes, I mean directly in the OS without Docker or virtual machine.
After reading various forums, I see that Home assistant requires a Docker installation.
I also reinstalled the whole thing on a new SD card but without SSD.
Compared to my Domoticz installation on a Synology DS214 (old Jadahl installation), Home assistant on my Raspberry Pi 4 is really slow.November 28, 2022 at 12:19 am #94280Forum Admin

::Try this on your PI. It booted up on my 512 MB ram PI with just single core arm cpu.

I went with the fluxbox release because of my low raspberry pi specs. It got me to a desktop but ran slow.
I blame the old PI I have.Sometimes I drive a crooked road to get my mind straight.
