Heloo friends,
How i can change hostname of my linux?
My router shows machine as: antix1,
When I type hostname in terminal hosts i get: DNS-VPN-server ( I put this name ) but my router show it still as antix1.
Can someone help me?I change hostname by typing hostname DNS-VPN-server and with optpion -b and after restart ig get back to antix1. I changed hostname in /etc/hosts/ file. but still nothing. Please?

The files are called hosts and hostname in /etc/

Im running CLI version, because I dont know how to “kill” gui. Im using it for VPN and and blocker & DNS cache.

You should have said that in your first post.
sudo cp /home/XXX/name_of_file /media/mountpoint
where mountpoint is the name of the folder created when you plugin your usb stick.
You can also use mc (midnight commander, a cli filer)

Yes and if you are running live, remove the disable= cheats at live boot menu.

Itry core and net version and booth missimg curl command. version 17 has curl command. which wersion of distro have all comands but without GUI or does domeone know how i COMPLETELY kil gui:

These seem like pretty basic questions if you intend to install a VPN and dns cache/proxy server. Maybe Dolphin Oracle’s videos about core may help.

So antix 17 core have less commands installed than antix19
17 Core have instaled curl,ping etc. and antix 19 CORE
EDIT: If I install antix base 19, can I how to stop andstart gui and get back to terminal?
