The native antiX Hosts file is impressive with some 158,000 (!!) entries.
1. Is that file being kept up date?
2. I assume it is OK to add entries, right?SamK
1. No. The user is responsible for keeping the entries up to date.
2. Adding entries is usually done via Adblock. You may choose one or more blocking sources or switch off blocking entirely. There is a brief explanation displayed when you start the app, Control Centre→Network→Adblock.
