      When you’ve set up an antixcore install, the desktop manager will present you
      with a login screen when booting-up. If you have lightdm as your desktop manager,
      but wish to ‘autologin’, open the terminal and type:

      sudo gedit /usr/share/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/01_debian.conf

      Then add these lines:

      autologin-user=[your username]
      autologin-user-timeout=0

      Save & exit. Now autologin is enabled !

      The above tip was taken from:

        good tip. even better is to create another file that won’t get nuked if lightdm updates. or do the autologin from /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf, which will at least ask you if there is a conflict with an update.

          @caprea
          Many thanks for the feedback, which will be helpful for others.
          I’ll therefore add these two lines of code to /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf as well.

            I had look into lightdm a while back as Debian 10 users it.

            lightdm autologin

            Their is also pretty good gui config tool = lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings open as root.
