::Open a terminal and go to ~/.local/share/Trash/files/
You can delete the files there and recover storage space.
Beware of people who knows nothing; they are the ones that won't know that they know nothing.

Yep, and yet (to my surprise) when housecleaning prior to remastering I have repeatedly discovered trash files are present.
Certain programs (“xfe” file manager? bluefish editor?) when performing a delete operation seem to autocreate a Trash directory if none exists.July 31, 2020 at 10:08 pm #39660Memberqwee

::Hello every one
need know how open Trash on antix 19
and delete all files permanentlyUsing command line tools, the rm command is capable of removing (immediately) any files that you have permission to access. Note that if you are using a privileged account (either root or your account with su, sudo, or e program that gives you privileges).
The rm command, with the appropriate options can remove entire directories.
The command rm -rf / wipes out the entire system in one shot, so don’t do it unless you want to wipe out or replace an entire system!
Needless to say, the rm command is very powerful and also potentially dangerous, able to remove anything, so it’s great to have, but it is smart to understand very well before using it regularly.
In this regard it’s easier and sometimes safer to use a file manager until you understand the power and capability of the command line.
(Maybe that is why it’s called “command”. It’s definitely in charge!).

::Thunar, the file manager that comes with the Xfce desktop, has a trash folder. As others have mentioned, several other file manager programs also have file manager programs and other utilities with file management capability may also have a trash folder.
