I wanted to install some software on my newly installed antix19.3core-sid. However, when I ran the initial updating, I got the following output from terminal:

      asus@X71Q:~
      $ sudo apt update
      Hit:1 http://deb.debian.org/debian buster-backports InRelease
      Hit:2 http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian buster-updates InRelease
      Hit:3 http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian unstable InRelease
      Hit:4 http://www.deb-multimedia.org sid InRelease
      Get:5 http://mxlinux.mirrors.uk2.net/packages/antix/sid sid InRelease [27.2 kB]
      Err:5 http://mxlinux.mirrors.uk2.net/packages/antix/sid sid InRelease

N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.

As you can see there are invalid signtures and the sid repository is disabled.
      How do I fix this?

Thanks Bob. I’m afraid this didn’t work. I’ve had the same problem with the testing version too, in addition to the sid version.
          Then something worse happened.

After downloading gdebi on both sid and testing versions of antix19.3core, using it to install the file antix-archive-keyring_20019.3.14_all.deb , mentioned in the link you gave me, the wicd network manager icon disappeared from the panel, and wifi connection then disappeared.

I then tried to use the cable connection for the internet, but this didn’t work either. I was unable to launch wicd-gtk from terminal. I checked to see if wicd packages were still on my laptop – using the command dpkg – – list in the terminal confirmed that it was.

Any idea folks how I can get the wicd network manager up and running again ..?

            After downloading gdebi

Don’t use gdebi. Use the terminal.
This is the official resolution for the problem: https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/expkeysig-error/

I was unable to launch wicd-gtk from terminal

What was the error? Unable to launch could mean it didn’t display anything or say “wicd is already running”.
            sudo killall wicd wicd-gtk
to make sure it is down before launching it again.
