Is antix based on puppy linux? Looks very similar. The live full version has way more apps that I’ll need. Can’t quite figure out how to install the core version. Youtube vidios are dated.
Also, how do you adjust the screen resolution?

No. It is a systemd free distro based on Debian Buster.

Install the full iso and use the antix control center > Sessesion > Set screen resolution (arandr)
or from command line like I do to testman xrandrInstallation methods have not changed much so old videos are still relevant.

::antiX core has no GUI (it is all terminal).
You must first decide what you want to install and start building from there.Look at this thread, for example, to learn how to build antix+fluxbox from scratch using core.

Or antix core + KDE:

::Try the BASE version instead of the CORE version. The BASE version uses the GUI Desktop and has less installed than the FULL version.
If you are familiar with Puppy you may prefer to switch to the JWM desktop once antiX is installed or booted Live. Although the JWM on antiX is very lean when compared to Puppy.
If you don’t want all the programs you can remove the ones you don’t want.
Use the Control Centre off the main menu and then select Session, then ARandR to set the screen resolution.
Most setup configuration is done with the Control Centre.Welcome to antiX.
