How i can create new item in application list menu ??

hi @ll

i like to add an application to menu/applications list/office

i have downloaded YuranPad from https://sourceforge.net/projects/yuranpad/files/
then i have install it with this command :
sudo dpkg -i yuranpad_2.3_i386.deb

but after installation when you select menu/applications list : YuranPad isn’t exist

actually i can lunch it with this command in Terminal :
yuranpad
or /usr/bin/yuranpad

how i can add new item in menu to this application ??

The debfile does contain a .desktop file
If you now uninstall, then install via “apt install” command, an menu entry for yurapad should be instantly added, automatically.

sudo apt install /path/to/yuranpad_2.3_i386.deb

installing with command sudo dpkg -i yuranpad_2.3_i386.deb will not add entry to menu

i have uninstall yuranpad with : sudo apt autoremove yuranpad

then i have reinstall it with this command :
sudo apt install yuranpad_2.3_i386.deb

now is working thanks 🙂
