Up till recently, all of my machines have been Gentoo linux with ICEWM. I have a used Lenovo laptop that I’ve switched over to Antix. Let’s just say that compiling gcc-12 from source on a machine with 4 gigs of ram and a core-2 processor is beyond painfull.
To avoid having to learn a new WM, I want to stick with ICEWM. There are some directories/files in .icewm/ that I want to copy from my desktop, and tweak, and NOT be over-written by updates/upgrades…
Does dist-upgrade touch any of them?
Nothing get overwritten in the user’s home folder, specially without confirming with the user first!
Your theme should be safe (it won’t get deleted)
