In the Control Centre there are a number of JWM settings that can be changed, but not the pdf viewer (qpdfview). I want to “cut” individual pages from the pdf viewer sometimes and that is not possible with qpdfview as far as I can tell.
Is there a “graphical” way to change the default to Evince, or some other viewer that has that capability?
I have to remember to use a right click to get the options to use another viewer and it is annoying when I (frequently) forget.
Thanks.

What File Manager are you using? (SpaceFM or Rox-filer)?
For Spacefm: Right-click on a .pdf file, Open > Choose.., then select the program and set it as default (see BobC’s answer: https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/happy-small-annoying-things/#post-35283)
For Rox: Right-click on a .pdf file, Set Run Action, and change the program (see caprea’s answer here: https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/happy-small-annoying-things/#post-35306)

General Live Boot Parameters for antiX.
Hi,
default applications to deal with can be changed in the following way
A) I know that some distro used to set it by opening the file with the user preferred application from file manager (and setting to use this option).
Not quite sure if it works in antiX
B) CLI-way
1) Query the default PDF application (should returns ‘qpdfview’ in my case):
xdg-mime query default application/pdf
2) Set the default PDF viewer to the ‘xpdf’, specified in file ‘xpdf.desktop’:
xdg-mime default xpdf.desktop application/pdf
3) Check the default PDF viewer:
xdg-mime query default application/pdf
