How to change the color of unselectable menu items in Adwaita-dark widget

In Adwaita-dark widget the unselectable items in the menu have some kind of shadow that make it unreadable little, I what to change it to gray color.
I tried changing some values in /usr/share/themes/Adwaita-dark/gtk-2.0/gtkrc, but I didn’t work me.

If it’s not passable, how can install other dark widgets?

In the “Customize Look and Feel” there are also Arc-Dark and niroki which don’t show the problem.
I wasn’t able to change /usr/share/themes/Adwaita-dark/gtk-2.0/gtkrc successfully for adwaita, like you.

Download them and extract until theres no zip anymore in the folders and then copy the folder to /usr/share/themes.
But you probably already know that.

This is what I thought, but I wan’t sure, the only thing I find is that I can I install GTK2 themes.

I did install Dark-Olympic, and it looks good a little lighter.

I tried replacing Adwaita-dark folder with this one because I saw the files are different, it douse not have the same problem the text black, but it douse not look good.
