::Icons on desktop. What desktop or windows environment are you running. My guess you should have installed MX 17 for what you want and the way you worded you question.
How I explore?
harry@biker:~ $ cd /media harry@biker:/media $ ls antiXlive cdrom cdrw _data1 _data2 dvd FY-4421 MTPdevice sdb1 sdb1-2 sr0 USB20FD harry@biker:/media $ cd _data2 harry@biker:/media/_data2 $ ls Isos lost+found pendrive harry@biker:/media/_data2 $ cd Isos harry@biker:/media/_data2/Isos $ ls 4M antix_16.2 antix_17 Cub_Linux Hirens PLOP Pmagic_rar Puppy QT_Linux harry@biker:/media/_data2/Isos $ cd harry@biker:~Then graphically after I know /media has my stuff there. I have no need to run icons on my icewm installs.So someone else can respond on that once you let them know what you are running. Post a
inxi -Freadout to supply info on what you are running.

I just mention this because starting over is sometimes easier than tweaking a /etc/fstab for automounting. Especially for a beginner.

::You won’t be able to see the Linux/AntiX partitions from within MSWindows, unless you have installed a program to do so, but you will be able to see into your MSWindows partition from Linux, if you have ntfs3g installed, (which I think is included in AntiX).
