I did a full install of my respin to a new partition. Then created a folder under /home and put files in it.
Then I did a full install of standard antiX to the same partition, and on the screen where you choose partitions, I clicked the “Preserve /home” box, and completed the install. It rebooted, and my respin /home and added files were there.
My test is sort of tainted because I started from a weird system, and I got a hybrid of the two because some of my changes were outside of /home.
I suspect Brian’s test will work perfectly. In the meantime, did you notice the “preserve /home” checkbox?
