Hi there !
I have succeeded to change all my equipment compared to my previous Topic : instead to have an Asus with Windows 10, I have a restored Dell (2017) with Ubuntu 20.03 :
my project : to install AntiX 19 besides Ubuntu 20 on the same HD …..but since my previous action of that type in 2018 the method has changed and I am not able to find that famous image Iso….
I did downloaded AntiX 19 but I saw no image iso !
Could someone tell me how to follow a method to find that image iso ? Thank youcorsiglia

::Helo corsiglia,
As you didn’t say which version you want, follow the URLs to download the ISOs:
antiX-19.3_386-full.iso
https://ufpr.dl.sourceforge.net/project/antix-linux/Final/antiX-19/antiX-19.3_386-full.isoantiX-19.3_x64-full.iso

Olá corsiglia,
Como você não disse qual versão você quer, seguem as URL para baixar as ISOs

::Hi,
are you sure you have downloaded the ISO file and not the torrent?
I understand your post that
1) You have already successfully downloaded the antiX ISO from ‘https://antixlinux.com/download/’ into Ubuntu.
2) You cannot find the file in your Ubuntu installation.If you have failed to locate the file using conventional file-manager (e.g. sorting by size/time etc.), then this is a good example to use ‘find’ by executing the command, with appropriate parameters, in the terminal as @skidoo has already suggested.
In case you have not completely renamed the file, the following might help:
A)
find ~/ -iname 'antix*'
Find in your home directory ‘~/’ file whose name starts with ‘antix’ (‘*’ is a wild-card), the search being case insensitive (thanks to the ‘i’ in ‘-iname’).
B) In case the above fails, you may extend the search to the whole system by switching the starting directory from ‘~/’ to ‘/’.
find / -iname 'antix*' 2>/dev/null
The addition of ‘2>/dev/null’ is not to display error messages (e.g. your current user may not have right to execute the ‘find’ command in certain folders).
The option B) will take more time to complete as there are much more folders to inspect.C) If you suspect the file has been renamed, but the extension kept the same, you may switch ‘antix*’ to ‘*.iso’ in the above examples.
D) If the rename that occured has been even “worse”, then using ‘find’ with dates and/or size (as already suggested by @skidoo) is the best option.Hope that helps.
Comment/Edit: ‘antix*’ should find the torrent file as well, if not renamed.

::Thank you for your answer : ” downloaded successfully” is not the good meaning , I have downloaded “something” “Antix 19″ with Source Forge but I do not know where it’s gone , in which files ! It was the first question of my message ” how to find the downloaded files ?”
Thank you

::To me, it is astounding that questions like this wind up asked in forum.
Why is it not obvious to first seek help directly from the project associated with a particular software.In this case, EXTENSIVE, and easily searchable firefox help documentation is provided, in NN languages…

::Hello, corsiglia,
I agree with skidoo – you need to find out WHERE your browser saves downloaded files. Ususally this is in /home/your-user-name/Downloads.
Then, if you still have problems downloading it, please use the links marcelocripe posted:antiX-19.3_386-full.iso

https://ufpr.dl.sourceforge.net/project/antix-linux/Final/antiX-19/antiX-19.3_x64-full.isoThat should set you straight, brother. 😉

::Hi….I understand very well your criticism but I am surprised myself because I am practising Ubuntu, AntiX and Firefox for years ….and it is not comfortable to say that you don’t know where are gone the files….so I will try harder as you say and I will find the solution ….Of course, it seems easy to ask to a group because I live in an area where nobody knows what is Linux and even less for Anti X !
I will come back when I am ready !
