      Dear users,

I did not find on the forum, a tutorial to install the Liquorix kernel in antiX.
There is nothing in the Package Installer.
I would like to test this kernel on my laptop but I don’t know how to do it.
Can someone be so kind and patient as to explain how to do it?
      Thanks to you.

      Best regards,
      Wallon

        Visit https://liquorix.net/
It should answer your question and explain how to install a liquorix kernel.

If there is anything difficult to understand please let us know.

          Dear Brian,

          Thanks for the link.

As soon as I have finished translating all the packages at Transifex, I will come back to test the Liquorix installation.

I read on another thread that you were at the doctor. I hope it’s not serious.

I wish you a speedy recovery as you are so kind and share so much with the whole antiX community.

          Kind regards,
          Wallon

I was at the doctor’s office with my wife yesterday; she’s had a lot of congestion and a heavy cough; she is starting to do better.
            I’m doing well.

              Dear Brian,

              I forgot to thank you.
It worked out well for me.
I made a great discovery with this Liquorix kernel.
When I have a new word in English, I like to click on the speaker to hear the pronunciation of the word. With the classic kernels, I only hear the end of the word. I have to click a second time to hear the whole word in English. I don’t have this phenomenon with Liquorix.
I have also noticed less lag between sound and image when I watch local Belgian television, especially when starting the stream.
I thought Liquorix was used by the gamers but it is a nice addition for the translators.

              Thanks again to you.

              Kind regards,
              Wallon

@Wallon: I am really happy to read that the Liquorix kernel has been helpful to you. Not only is it a good project, a few people who I’ve interacted with for nearly 20 years are associated with the person responsible for working on this kernel; that’s how I heard about it in the first place.

It’s also ideal for me because the stated goals are nearly identical to my own regular workload, so it makes sense for me to use the Liquorix kernel often, and I do so. Incidentally, the person involved with the development of the inxi tool is the same person who knows the Liquorix kernel developer. Both of them are VERY skilled Linux developers!
