i am trying to resize windows by dragging and it is extremely hard to get the mouse to give me the expansion handle. even with a real mouse (not the pad) it is very difficult. there should be a setting to fix that.
      thanks
      S.

It depends on which kernel version and driver is managing the mouse input, but there is a general way to regulate sensitivity with the Mouse COnfiguration app in antiX.
Control Centre > Hardware > Mouse Configuration.
See if reducing Mouse acceleration helps. After applying the changes, keep testing different multipliers until you find one that works better. Once you are happy with the change, enable the “Enable at startup” so that the changes take effect on next reboot.

Something that might help if you are using IceWM. Choose an IceWM theme designed to make it easy using a trackpad.

Try one of the antiX-Magic-??????? themes. I doubled or tripled the corner grabbing area when I built them. I had the same problem.

If the issue relates to window resizing only, try this:
Position the cursor near the window edge, then press and hold ‘Alt + Right click’ as you move the cursor.

“press and hold ‘Alt + Right click’ as you move the cursor”

I really had to concentrate, but was able to do it!

Because I have to right click, I need to use my right hand to press the right Alt key and Right click, and then move my left index finger on the trackpad. That is not easy to do because I usually use my right hand to move the trackpad pointer or mous press and hold ‘Alt + Right click’ as you move the cursor.

I found that the setting for which key(s) and button control this are adjustable from the menu from Settings, Preferences, KeyWin, MouseWinSize, then Save settings afterwards.

The conky shows which desktop you are running. It looks like it’s one of the IceWM ones. Look in the themes list under A for the antiX-Magic themes and try one of those.

The theme should be included in antiX 21,. You can add it to older antiX versions. The files can be downloaded from this thread https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/new-theme-for-antix-icewm/page/4/#post-49156

                      Hello everybody.

I have another question related to double clicking.

How can we reduce or increase the speed of mouse double click sensitivity?

                      Grateful.

                      – – – – –

                      Olá a todos.

Eu tenho uma outra dúvida relacionada ao duplo clique.

Como podemos reduzir ou aumentar a velocidade da sensibilidade do duplo clique do rato?

                      Grato.

                        Marcelo,

                        # to change double click timeout to 180, add this to your startup. You can test it without the & from a terminal until it is set the way you like it
                        synclient MaxDoubleTapTime = 180 &

Stephen, Here is what my personal themes folder looks like. The subfolders off ~/.icewm/themes you see are the themes that I added.

I have antix 19.3 and there is no themes folder under ~/.icewm

                              $ ls ~/.icewm
                              keys menu-papirus startup toolbar-papirus
                              menu personal theme winoptions
                              menu-applications personal~ toolbar
                              menu-numix-bevel preferences toolbar-numix-bevel
                              menu-numix-square preferences~ toolbar-numix-square

should I create the folder and extract the zip in it? is there anything else I need to do?
                              thanks

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.
