Forum › Forums › New users › New Users and General Questions › [SOLVED] How to replace Ceni by Connman or wpa_gui? antix 19.2.1_base
Hello!
After installing antiX 19.2.1_base, I followed the instructions given in this post and did the following
`
sudo apt-get –purge autoremove connman -y
sudo rfkill unblock all
sudo rm /etc/resolv.conf
sudo ln -s /run/resolvconf/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf
sudo killall wpa_supplicant
`
wifi started, I could manage networks. But Ceni doesn’t save passwords, so it’s a tedious job to change networks. So, I installed connman again but it’s not showing the available networks.
wpa_gui doesn’t show any adapter or network. Adding a network manually in wpa_gui returns this error Failed to enable network in wpa_supplicant configuration.
What can be done to get connman or wpa_gui working?
Thanks.
Edit /etc/network/interfaces file to only have this:
#------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# /etc/network/interfaces
#
# interfaces(5) file used by ifup(8) and ifdown(8)
# Used by ceni but not by connman
#------------------------------------------------------------------------------
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
You might want a gui frontend for connman – available are connman-gtk, connman-ui or cmst
Best to reboot and then run connman again
Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.
