antiX has some amenities that are missing- this means that you can do everything you are able to do in more “user friendly” distros or Windows, but you have to do it in a different way from what you are used to.
Case in point, antiX comes with more friendlier File Managers other than the default Rox filer – SpaceFM in antix before version 21 and Zzzfm in version 21, but even if Spacefm/zzzfm are your default file managers, you can’t just right click an image and choose to set it as the default wallpaper. But that’s easy to add.
I’m using zzzfm as an example, but menus should be the same for Spacefm:

      – Go to a folder that has images you want to set as your default background.
      – right click an image, and in the context menu that pops up, right click again on an entry (for example: Rename); Move your mouse pointer to “+ New”, and at the menu at appears, left click “Command”
      – Now you are in the “Set item name” window: choose the name you want for this command (ex: “Set as Wallpaper”) and press the “Ok” button.
      – You get the “Menu item proprieties” Window. Here you enter the command we want to use to set images as wallpapers/ backgrounds- this uses the feh command, with my preferred setting. [feel free to explore feh’s man page to use your preferred setting):
      feh --auto-rotate --bg-fill %f
      and click the “ok” button

Now you always have an entry, at your file manager’s right click menu, that you can use to set any image, as your default wallpaper- right clicking an image file and then left clicking “Set as Wallpaper” (or whatever description you choose for this command)- instantly makes the selected image your wallpaper!
