Tagged: discord, rox-icewm, window manager, WM
Whenever I run discord it steal focus as it checks for updates. I switch focus to a different app, then discord steals focus again once it starts.
Is there a way to stop this? Can I selectively make Discord always start in the background? Or do I have to change the focus settings for all my programs/windows?
I’m currently using Rox-icewm and would like to keep it, but Discord stealing focus is annoying enough that I’d consider changing my window manager.
I am not using icewm at the moment, but there are a number of focus related settings in the preferences file.
This can be access through the control centre on the first tab icewm settings.
Or editing ~/.icewm/preferences through whatever text editor you choose.
I think there are also right click options on the task bar / in the menu but I cannot recall at the moment.
