Hi all
Apologies for this stupid noob question …
How do I switch back to Rox-IceWM? I thought I would take a look at the other window managers (via Menu => Desktop => Other Desktops) but now I have switched I have no way to get back as far as I can see.
I am probably being an idiot and it is staring me in the face but I just can’t figure it out 🙁
BTW, other than this rather stupid issue I am loving Antix Base. It has brought my old Lenovo S205 netbook (AMD E-300 1.3 GHz) back to life, I had tried the usual suspects (Ubuntu/Xubunu/Mint/etc) but they are just too much for my poor little netbook.
Many thanks
Simon

::I think if you logout, when you login again, on the login screen you can press F1 until the setting you want appears, then type in your user id and password.
I also recall seeing a post where you can fix it permanently, I believe by reinstalling the desktop package for icewm for the version you are running.
Did you try searching for desktop icewm menu?

The default desktop on antiX is rox-icewm. You can go back to it in the menu
desktop > alternative desktops > rox-icewm
If this option (rox-icewm) is not available from the menu anymore , please try to reinstall desktop-session-antix
sudo apt install –reinstall desktop-session-antixThe default theme on antiX is blue-day, It’s available from the menu > themes

::Hi BobC
Thanks for your help. The F1 trick on the login screen helped me get back to Rox-IceWM 😀
It would be good if the IceWM windown managers were listed under Start => Desktop => Other Desktops so that if people do switch to try another WM then they can easily switch back.
Thanks again!

::Hi!
To fix the menu, you also need tosudo apt install --reinstall desktop-session-antixPhilosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

::You didn’t do anything really (except upgrade the packages). It is a ‘known’ issue.
