      Good evening,
      I just downloaded and extracted the new Firefox 57 for update, but I don’t know at all where it’s gone !!
      Thanks if you know something about it !

                Good evening,

                I found no Firefox esr updated 57 in “metapackage-installer” : there is “Chromium” but I am not interested…..

                    I have been to “metapackage-installer”, I chose “Browser ” and ” Latest Firefox browser from MX Linux” , I clicked “install” , but at the end, It gave nothing : Firefox 52 is still working !

                      At the end of install, they are asking a code or close the window Alt + F4 : which type of code is it ?

                        I believe that I read elsewhere that it is better to remove FF 52 first before installing the FF 57 from the Package Installer in antiX. This will avoid a problem with the profiles.

                          Thank you much but I am totally ignorant on what is a profile ! So it will be easier for me to install the last version of Anti X with Firefox 57 !

                            You don’t really need to understand the stuff about profile.
                            The take away message is to remove FF 52 with the Synaptic Package Manager first. Then, restart your computer. Then, install FF from the Package Installer. This will give you FF 57 without any problems.
