::Hey guys.
Olá pessoal.
Here are the results of the tests I did with the Asus P5V800-MX motherboard and the “pseudo-antiX-19-legacy-bet3_x64.iso” ISO.
Seguem os resultados dos testes que eu fiz com a placa-mãe Asus P5V800-MX e a ISO “pseudo-antiX-19-legacy-bet3_x64.iso”.

::I’m very pleased to read the successes of antiX users with old computers like the Pentium-III. I have several of these old machines and it is part of my hobby to see what these old computers are still capable of in this modern time. I have had similar successes that show these old computer to still be quite capable, even for YouTube video (at least for now, until YouTube changes again and leaves the old ways behind).
I have had great success with antiX also on old Pentium 4 equipment and at least one Celeron laptop that uses the OpenChrome driver. I am also now experimenting with a few older Pentium-II machines. But my favorite for antiX remains the P-III.
Thank you all for your reports of your successes, and especially Xecure for your work in helping Marcelo and others with old equipment using SiS and Via video.

::Procurei por um bom tempo, testei várias distro, e nunca deu certo. Minha primeira tentativa foi uma Distro Kurumin Linux em 2009, na época testei só com essa, continuei com windows XP mesmo, em 2017, passei a usar Windows 7, a placa mãe com seu Chipset VIA, dava tela azul direto, me irritava muito. Em 2020, tentei Ubuntu 8.04 e funcionou, mas era uma distribuição antiga, testei outras, puppy linux, zorin, Q4os. Agora em dezembro de 2021, com uma pesquisada no Google, cheguei ao Fórum do Antix, descobri essa Distribuição, com essa iso personizada, e finalmente consegui rodar. Parabéns a todos empenhados nesse grande projeto ✌️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

::Hello madnux.
I have a little problem, this build is capable of OpenGL?
Unfortunately I don’t have the necessary technical knowledge to help you and answer your question. It is important that you know that problems related to OpenGL also occur with the official ISO, but according to the Wikipedia text:
The OpenGL specification describes an abstract API for drawing 2D and 3D graphics. Although it is possible for the API to be implemented entirely in software, it is designed to be implemented mostly or entirely in hardware.
The problem must be in the “hardware”, or I can still assume that it is the “hardware” + “driver” combination of the video card.
I would like you to read all the conversations that took place in this thread from the beginning so you can understand the real purpose of this thread and that we cannot “demand” an operating system to work perfectly on “hardware” that has been abandoned by the developers of the “drivers” ” or that are considered obsolete “hardware”. I’m glad that I still manage to make these “hardwares” work somehow.

Olá madnux.
I have a little problem, this build is capable of OpenGL?
The OpenGL specification describes an abstract API for drawing 2D and 3D graphics. Although it is possible for the API to be implemented entirely in software, it is designed to be implemented mostly or entirely in hardware.

::… use LZDOOM and …e opengl acceleration.
you must check also if the game try to enables shaders, or other features not yet present in such hardware..
as i said before the “ugly hack” does not work at all, you must use and older kernel and an specific version of xorg.. recommended its to use debina wheeze or debian jeeze .. that’s why venenux vegnuli has repositories with backported packages.. the recent kernels have only CRI2 and 3 and openchrome uses DRI1

::I have built a new legacy ISO, based on antiX 19.4 FULL packages, for both 32 and 64 bits.
Changes:
* kernel 4.4.0-264 (thanks to anticapitalista’s efforts).
* Fixed the “invalid EXPRESSIG” error by updating the antiX signatures package.
* Aprox 1.3 GBs ISO. Now it is MUCH bigger to include almost the exact same packages as antiX 19.4 Full (includes seamonkey, libreoffice, etc.).
* Renamed the project to “pseudo-antiX” to not dirty the antiX name, as this is a very inferior product compared to the current antiX 19.4 release.
* This release DOES NOT include the improved live system changes (as it is based on the antiX 19 iso-template-antix_19.18 initdr and boot)
* Included a sis xorg driver that comes from the antiX 15-16 (jessie) repos. Hopefully this will make it possible to use real SIS xorg driver, and better results than vesa.
* Up to date packages.i386 ISO: pseudo-antix-19 legacy bet3 (32 bits) (md5sum)

I know this sounds rude, but would it be possible to create an actual customized base version of antiX22?
I have problems with my small Nettop under antiX22 to reach a reasonable resolution.

::@ext4: Xecure did some excellent work while he was a member of our forum. For personal reasons I do not know Xecure chose to leave the forum and we have not seen him at all for well over a year, definitely not at all during the antiX 22 or 23 development efforts.
Also, what was created is no longer supported and may even be difficult to obtain, but if anyone is able to replicate this work, that would be nice for those who have such old hardware that our current releases are unable to work for them.
