Hello,
is there a preferred app for a laptop camera in Antix? I tried to search for camera, but the search finds nothing, maybe I am not searching correctly.
Cheers

Searching within synaptic package manager, searching either “camera” or “webcam” finds plenty of results.
Collecting recommendations is a good idea, but finding consensus on a “preferred” app might be impossible ~~ each person will differently weigh (value) certain features, functionality, usability details.
guvcview is a handy and simple program for the webcam.
If you want to play with effects or something you could have a look at cheese.
There are also fancier messaging apps available via package installer…
