::Can confirm having the same behavior like you one one installation (the newly selected repos will not be shown to the antix.list) and had to add it manually.
But this is a three years old installation of antix14 (which wasn’t even a official release) running with testing-repos.
So I didn’t pay much attention to it, I have to do some tinkering there from time to time.
Which antiX do you run ?- This reply was modified 4 years, 10 months ago by caprea.

::hmm I don’t seem to have that repo-manager program @andfree. Neither on my control centre, nor the debian stretch software repos.
At a loss here for what I should do… just desperately hoping the default repos will start working again somehow unless someone knows of a way to manually edit the repos (I tried opening /etc/sources.list.d in nano and it gave me a blank file).
(edit: I figured out how to manually edit the repos. Go to synaptic, click Settings and then Repositories, then click the shiny “New” button and input whatever repository you want as a web url).

::“(I tried opening /etc/sources.list.d in nano and it gave me a blank file)”
Yeah. The “sources.list.d” item is a directory, not a file. And it resides under /etc/apt/, not directly under /etc/. check it:
cd /etc/apt/source.list.d
ls -lThe repository URLs are read from the various /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list files.
In control center, the action item is labeled “Edit Config Files”. Clicking will open a geany editor with document tabs displaying each of the /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list files

Could you post the output ofapt-cache policy repo-managerbecause on all my testing-installations the repo-manager does not work, it’s version 0.1.3 and will not upgrade even though the repo-manager from stable is already version 0.1.8
and works.$ apt-cache policy repo-manager repo-manager: Installiert: 0.1.8 Installationskandidat: 0.1.8June 23, 2018 at 11:52 am #11065Member

::It seems to me that the main problem has been fixed. The system is normally updated, even if the default antiX repo is the active one. I’m also able to change repo by using Repo Manager.
As for the Repo Manager itself, I see two remaining problems:
1. Whatever choice I make, the “USA, Utah – repo.antixlinux.com” still appears to be the marked one at the “antiX repos” tab of the Manager (although it’s not actually the active one).
2. After choosing fastest option, the “USA, Utah – repo.antixlinux.com” not only appears to be the marked one, but it’s actually the active one. This doesn’t sound reasonable for a user in Greece. My system:

::1. That is because it is the default and the one that gets the first upgrades.
2. I’ll take a look. It is probably best not to offer that option for antiX repo.Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
