::I think the line you would want to add to ~/.icewm/toolbar would be
prog “Xtreme Download Manager” /opt/xdman/icon.png /opt/xdman/xdmanUnless you mean to have it like the wifi/volumeicon/clipboard manager. Then add it to the startup like
/opt/xdman/xdman &Computers are like air conditioners. They work fine until you start opening Windows. ~Author Unknown

::Did you add it to a startup file and restart the session?
Either ~/.desktop-session/startup or ~/.icewm/startupThe .desktop file was fine, though not needed for automatically starting an application. You could use a .desktop file if you enable xdg startup in ~/.desktop-session/desktop-session.conf and copy the .desktop file to ~/.config/autostart

::I understand you want to autostart an application, sample also assigns a desktop.
Please search BobC and Moddit threads autostart applications for a lot of detail
and method information…One example for icewm would look like this. You need to install wmctrl for this method.
Change application name or names to fit your requirement.
Put following in /home/your username/.icewm/startupwmctrl -s 2 #Switches to workspace 1=2nd workspace
palemoon &
sleep 2
wmctrl -s 0 #Switches to workspace 0=1st workspace

::angel7, you cannot expect us to know how the specific program xdman works.
There is probably a configuration window to make it launch minimized or in the system tray. Or maybe the manual has a parameter to launch it minimized, like
/opt/xdman/xdman -mEach program is coded differently, so we don’t know how to do things for every program. You will need to check the website or the manual to figure out the parameter needed or it to start minimized in the system tray or if there is a configuration window for this program to do so.
By the way, to make it clear. Do you want this program to autostart when you boot your computer or do you only want the program to launch minimized when you click to launch it? People are giving you advice of how to auto-start it, but I don’t think this will help to launch it to system tray until you can figure out if there is a configuration window.

::just a note, together with BobC and help from Icewm Devs autostarting applications was discussed, fully working methods found and described
here in the forum. The ICEWM window manager is the only controlling instance in majority of cases.wmctrl and iceshell are all that is needed to configure applications to start as user wants, exception is for example Libreoffice which
remembers window size on closing. Can we please let questioners explore the previous forum posts, test what is suggested then ask for more help if needed.

::Hi @angel17 Here are commands that work for me…. pulseaudio & nm-applet.
As fo xdman I’d guess you need either a config or flag set. I don’t use xdman.

::Is there no configuration window for that app taht lets it start in minimized/system tray mode? “Options” or “Configuration” buttons should have these options. This is not related to the distro, but to the program.

Sorry I have a hard time understanding what you are trying to do.
Normally an option within the program like that places a .desktop file in ~/.config/autostart/……desktop.
If there is such a file there, the exec line you would need is in that file. You could also enable xdg satartup in ~/.desktop-session/desktop-session.conf to use that .desktop file.Computers are like air conditioners. They work fine until you start opening Windows. ~Author Unknown

::You might try adding to your /home/your user/.icewm/winoptions file. Not sure if this will work for xdman
but worth trying.
Other applications i tested it works fine. You may need to check with xprop if the start command and name
are correct.xdman.xdman.startMinimized: 1
