::I know nothing about this program except that it isn’t in the repos and the script it downloaded wouldn’t open with geany. I setup a separate test computer running from flashdrive to figure it out. I would not install this on my system. I am no expert on this subject. I did find the source (it was on github, not sourceforge) but am not capable of reading or understanding it.
In ~/.icewm/winoptions put:
xdman-Main.tray: MinimizedIn ~/.icewm/startup put:
/opt/xdman/xdman & (sleep 2 && xdotool search "XDM " windowminimize)I see they have a browser extension, and found it needs to be added also.

::After setting it up, I had to add it to the browser also. With both installed it then worked. I tested by downloading a 200 mb file. I then rebooted and downloaded the same 200 mb file. The download times were about the same, 10 seconds or so. Maybe it does better downloading uncompressed files, but I think most movies and files and music and pictures are stored in compressed formats.
Anyway, it did work and didn’t cause any other problems that I saw.
PS: once this is running from startup there is no need to put it on the menu or toolbar. I just copied the .desktop file to ~/Desktop (the English spelling) to run it from my Desktop folder list while testing

::In ~/.icewm/startup remove the first line I had you add. You must also have something else also starting the program:
/opt/xdman/xdman &It would probably be easiest to reboot after making the change to see if it works

::I removed the first line like you say but the issue persist.
also add the line:xdman (sleep 1 && xdotool search "XDM" windowminimize)even with “sleep 2” the issue persist.

::Adding it back again caused it to run twice again.
Its already running once from someplace else
The sleep is there to allow it to get onto the screen before we minimize it

::Please provide the details of what you ended up using, why you chose it instead, and how you implemented it so that other people reading this thread are helped, too.
Also, please add the word SOLVED to the description on the first post if you can.

::Angel7, you disabled what I gave you to make it go to the tray. Remember when you reduced the sleep to 1? That meant the window needed to be up by then, or minimizing it wouldn’t work.
I setup a computer from scratch with antiX 19.3 specifically to make this work for you, and it did/does work on that machine here.
To get an app to run and then minimize to the tray instead of taskbar, here is how I got it to work:
I installed the xdman program.
When I run /opt/xdman/xdman a window comes up. From a terminal I run xprop and point to the window to get the WM_CLASS(STRING) xdman-Main needed to put into winoptions and the WM_NAME(STRING) XDM 2020 needed for xdotool
Tell it that when it runs, if it gets minimized, minimize to the tray – In ~/.icewm/winoptions I added:
xdman-Main.tray: MinimizedTell it to run the program in background so it isn’t waiting for input, then wait 2 seconds (on slower machine this might need to be higher) for it to load, and then minimize it – In ~/.icewm/startup put:
/opt/xdman/xdman & (sleep 2 && xdotool search "XDM " windowminimize)PS: I tried this on a slower machine and sleep of 2 was too fast. I had to increase it, and it worked fine with sleep 5
