      Dear community,

I notice that, when you press “Alt+Ctrl+Esc” you get WindowList window. I can also get WindowList with right super key (right windows key on the keyboard)

The problem is, if there is no other window opened (and raised), then, after you press “Alt+Ctrl+Esc” again, you can no longer access the keyboard for key binds, menu etc.

One way to get the keyboard back is to to use the right mouse button on the desktop, to get the pop-up menu, and then pick a program (per example ‘terminal’) to get keyboard control.

This behavior does not happen if you have at least on window opened and raised.

      Here’s some of my settings:
      Kernel: 4.9.0-264-antix.1-amd64-smp x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: IceWM 2.8.0
      Distro: antiX-19.4_x64-base Grup Yorum 20 May 2021

Any thoughts on how to fix this are appreciated.
      Kind Regards,
      Valter Cardoso.

Note the second paragraph in the https://ice-wm.org/manual/ icewm user manual, then scroll down and read the “Focus Models” section of the manual. You can likely produce the desired behavior by choosing a different focus model.

          Hello iznit!

Thanks for the feedback but unfortunately it doesn’t work for me.

I’ve just tested with clickToRaise, clickToFocus, pointerFocus, explicitFocus and same problem.

Can you replicate this issue on your machine by pressing ‘RightSuper’ 3 times when no other window is raised?

On my machine, third time I click the ‘RightSuper’ key (or “Alt+Ctrl+Esc”, same thing), the WindowList window doesn’t pop up (if no other window is raised).

          Thank you.

PS- According to IceWM Window Manager Manual (2nd paragraph) “this is not currently possible when using mouse focus”.
Any thoughts on this are welcome.
