Is this in antiX or are you trying to make a router or computer act as a firewall for all devices at home?

I’m also curious to know @masinick ‘s amazing first-hand experience. Before that, we can take a glimpse from here: https://www.computerhope.com/history/1973.htm

::Thanks rayloo
Is a helpful, interesting site and 1973 was quite an interesting year for foundational inventions (the next few years after that were quite interesting.)
Microsoft and Apple were founded as I was attending undergraduate studies in Computer Science (itself a relatively new program at several universities.)

::Computer systems were nothing like today. In 1973 there were no personal computer systems at all. Minicomputer and mainframe computer systems were expensive.
The least expensive minicomputer systems were still tens of thousands of dollars for the least expensive computer systems and it was not uncommon to spend $50,000 or more for a system that at medium size department or a small company could afford.
The microprocessor had just been invented. I think that one lab computer that I experimented with had a few microprocessor components. Realtime computers did exist. They were special purpose and relatively expensive.
One of the first mainframe computer systems that wasn’t huge was built by IBM but not introduced until the early eighties. Most computer systems I used did not have video terminal access, none in 1973 that I was able to use. Later in the seventies I did use a video screen and keyboard but no direct, high speed access. In fact, most of the time I got to use an acoustic coupler (common before the modem) to connect to the computer.
I saw the first personal computer between 1981 and 1982. I didn’t get my own until late 1995 because they were expensive.
