      I’m new in this forum and don t have much experience with antix. But to add some contend i’ll explain how to install Java 14 jdk.
      This was the biggest issue i had in 4 days using Antix.
      My atempts via gdebi or dbkg -i all failed.
      It was a mess until i found this webseite which explains how to install it by adding their repository:

        Using Ubuntu PPAs is not recommended on antiX.
        Having said that, it is your box and if anything goes wrong with using Ubuntu PPAs you get to pick up the pieces.

        antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

          I understand. but perhaps someone can add a better solution here. I was happy to finaly get an answer after i typed. java-version in my terminal.
          But i had big issues running java programms i downloaded. Maybe this had to do with my bad install. Perhaps you can add an appopriate solution for this task. I myself tried to download the .deb from the oracle website, but failed to install it.

            Try installing your supplied version.

            apt search jre

            Or use synaptic
