      Hi there,

I am trying to change an old WYSE thin client to be used with antiX.
Booting from USB stick works fine – but I would like to install locally as final solutiuon.

I stuck about the installation disk space requirement and need a little help here about it.
The built in wyse disc is only 2GB (two gigabyte).

All I need is a X-Desktop to run RDP (remmi and rdp-plugin).

      So my QUESTION:
      – how to maximum slim-down the installer (likewise antix-core + x + desktop + remmi-rdp no extra apps)
      – is it better to install core and follow up installing x and desktop (how?)
      – is there a installer-setup file I can change to select the apps I want to be installed

      Thanks in advance

      best regards

      Michael

Yes, if you have an Ethernet cable connection it’s easy to install antiX Core, then install a minimal X Server, and the RDP applications you need.

Personally I’d literally install exactly those components and see if they will pull in any other essential packages or at least inform you of the necessary dependencies.

You may be surprised; while you may have to install a few more packages, the package manager will either tell you or provide the details and/or packages.

        Should be rewarding.
