Hi ya

I’m new to antix, great distro,

I have installed Hannie Shaft 19.2 to my hard drive using this antiX-19.2-runit_386-full.iso

I just wondered what the difference was between full iso and full runit iso?

Full uses SysVinit as init, full-runit uses runit as the init.

This is my opinion (based on my inexperience): when doing stuff with runit edition, if some change you do leads to a problem, you will have to fix this problem with runit knowledge (at least I am unable to do some things, so it may be my fault).
If you know about runit and sysvinit stuff, and are smart enough to find workarounds when encountering problems, go head on with the runit edition. Don’t let my limited knowledge push you away from experiencing all runit’s benefits.

Cheers, I will do some research, seems stable enough to run as a daily os, I like can always reinstall if I completely break it 🙂

Great. The runit version is meaner and leaner, so it should work quite well (and fast).

welcome to antiX. I have never used the runit version. I’ve read about it but don’t know how it may differ from the regular antiX. Is there any reason you chose the runit version? Just wondering.
