the graphical interface is not expanded
I once asked about this on the forum and was told that I need to change the core.
for some reason, the desire disappeared.
I decided to try again.
can you please elaborate a little more?
I understand what you need in Customize Boot (text menu) or Advanced Options do everything ))))- This topic was modified 2 years, 6 months ago by ThakurMsh.

::net and core iso files do not have a graphical interface.
If you want a live iso with one, install base or full.Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

::Hi, ThakurMsh,
There is more than one version of the current antiX ISO. You have the bare-bones version without a graphical desktop. I would not recommend this for you.
I see you have a nice modern computer. I recommend you download & install this version:
It will give you the full antiX experience. This one is easy to use. Just boot up and try it before you install.

antiX-19.3_x64-full.iso

::Hallo ThakurMsh, we are mostly using somewhat older hardare, somwetimes it takes a shot effort but
generaly we are as a community able to solve issues.
On my newer computer I too at first ,had some issues, now it is stable and runs like Bolt, the
fastest man on earth. antix is a great distro and a great community.October 25, 2020 at 6:44 pm #43764Member

::install base or full.
the GUI doesn’t open
There is no GUI on the ‘net’ or the ‘core’ versions, if you want a GUI, you need to download either the ‘base’ or the ‘full’ version.
The ‘base’ version has less programs than the ‘full’ version.Linux (& BSD) since 1999

::If you mean like a PXE Network install, sorry, but antiX does not offer this option.

::From antiX wiki: https://antixlinuxfan.miraheze.org/wiki/About_antiX_Linux
Editions
antiX is available for IA-32 and x86-64 architectures, and comes in 4 Editions:– Full, which installs a full range of applications, including Synaptic Package Manager and the full Libreoffice Suite.
– Base, a smaller edition with fewer apps but the same desktop session. It allows the user to choose their own application suite.
– Core, a very small edition which does NOT include any graphical environment. It enables the user to build a system from the ground up, and is recommended for those who want to start with the bare minimum. It includes non-free firmware, which means that most wireless devices will be supported.
– Net, similar to Core, but doesn’t include any non-libre firmware. It is recommended for those who want to build their own systems with only ethernet access or on virtual machinesIf you want PXE, read this thread:

::https://antixlinux.com/antix-19-3-manolis-glezos-bug-fix-upgrade-isos-available/
As usual we offer the following systemd-free flavours for both 32 and 64 bit architecture, running sysvinit or runit.
antiX-full (c1.2GB) – 4 windows managers – IceWM (default), fluxbox, jwm and herbstluftwm plus full libreoffice suite.
antiX-base (c770MB no longer fits on a cd) – 4 windows managers – IceWM (default), fluxbox, jwm and herbstluftwm.
antiX-core (c470MB) – no X, cli-installer without UEFI support nor encryption, but should support most wireless.
antiX-net (c170MB)- no X, cli-installer without UEFI support nor encryption. Just enough to get you connected (wired) and ready to build.
The 32 bit versions use a non-pae kernel.

::Have the same problem. 19.3 Full and Base iso do not go to desktop the boot finishes at a username prompt and password prompt with the instruction to enter as root and enter “cli-installer”, not exactly what I wanted. 19.2 iso does go to desktop as you would expect a live usb to do. I had 19.2 installed and it was working just fine but the updates for 19.3 screwed things up, couldn’t find any answers on here so I was just going to do a clean install of 19.3 and start again. Now I am going to do a clean install of 19.2 and sod the bloody updates. When are you lot going to realize that we are not all computing geniuses, some of us started when you had to use a DOS prompt to start the computer but as soon as all you needed was the mouse and maybe the Enter key life was good, and that is how it has continued since, at least for me. Don’t misunderstand me I think Antix, MX, MINT and the rest are amazing, what you guys do is incredible.
This is a 17 yr old P4 32bit 812Mb ram 40Gb HDD and it has been loyal for all that time and it is extremely grateful for the extended life, but by xmas I want a core I5 64bit 4Gb ram 500Gb HDD just like our other one which I have had linux on for the last 10yrs, so that I never have to look at another bit of 32bit.
No help needed but thank you anyway. -
