Installed AntiX 19,3 (full) for the first time yesterday from a flash drive to an old nettop PC with an Atom N450 and 1G RAM. Put AntiX on the flash drive using the iso and Ubuntu’s Startup Disk Creator.

The live version had WiFi and Firefox, and a nice interface, with transparency.

The installed version has no WiFi nor Firefox, only Dillo. No transparency. No menu item anywhere that has anything to do with WiFi. Conky has an ugly flicker to it.

Why isn’t the installed version by default the same as the live? What did I miss?

Are you using a separate (already created) home partition? Or did you log in as ROOT?
if it is the first, it means you need to copy the configuration files. open a terminal and run

        cp -r /etc/skel/. $HOME/
        cp -fr /etc/skel/.icewm/ $HOME/

        And reboot.

If it is the second, please log in as normal user you created during the installation process.

In the installed system, is stuff just missing from the menu, or truly absent?
Are you (tsk, tsk) logging into a desktop session using the “root” user account?
